FAQs

freezer/micro?

Ghongha bottles is made from hand blown borosilicate glass which is the best quality of glass. It does not react with sudden changes in temperature. Therefor they’re dishwasher, microwave, and freezer safe. So feel free to use your Ghongha bottle for your herbal tea or your ice cold water during a hot summer day.

If you decide to put the Ghongha bottle in the freezer make sure not to fill it up completely. We all know that frozen water has higher volume than liquid water, therefore leave some room empty in the Ghongha bottle or the lid must be left open. Else its a chance the Ghongha bottle will break. Every bottle or glass does as the higher volume has to go somewhere … It’s basic physics

How to clean?

Good news, it’s totally OK to clean your Ghongha in the dishwasher – top shelf though please and keep the protective sleeve on as it protects the Ghongha from damage. If you don’t have, or don’t want to use, a dishwasher that’s fine too – just wash it in warm soapy water, (organic soap of course).

can it break?

Ghongha bottles are made from the toughest and most durable glass material – pure borosilicate glass.

Like all glass, it can break so treat it with care and respect like the friend it will certainly become. The silicon sleeve will protect the Ghongha from harder knocks and bumps but like everything you love, treat it with care and affection.

For safety reasons we do not recommend carrying the Ghongha bottle in the lid or in the loop that attaches the lid to the glass bottle. We also advice you not to fill the Ghongha bottle up completely when you freeze it as the water expands and will cause it to break.

can i remove the sleeve?

The sleeve is designed to be KEPT ON the Ghongha bottle at all times but it is possible to remove it if you wanted to. We advise you to leave the sleeve in place at all times.

If you do want to remove the sleeve please take care – especially around the drop cut-out area.
